Gabapantin

Gabapentin (Neurontin®) is a medicine licensed to treat chronic nerve pain that often occurs after a shingles outbreak. It can also be used with other seizure medications to treat partial seizures in adults and children as young as three years old. The drug is available by prescription only and comes in the form of an oral solution, tablets, and capsules. Before your healthcare provider prescribes gabapentin, make sure he or she is aware if you have kidney disease, are pregnant, or have any allergies.
