Using Qutenza Safely
Drug InteractionsQutenza is unlikely to interact with other medications (see Qutenza Drug Interactions).
What Should I Tell My Healthcare Provider Before Using Qutenza?You should talk with your healthcare provider prior to using Qutenza if you have:
- Heart disease
- High blood pressure (hypertension)
- Had a recent heart attack or stroke
- Any allergies, including to medications, foods, dyes, or preservatives.
Also, let your healthcare provider know if you are:
- Pregnant or thinking of becoming pregnant (see Qutenza and Pregnancy)
- Breastfeeding (see Qutenza and Breastfeeding).
Make sure to tell your healthcare provider about any other medicines you are taking, including prescription and nonprescription medicines, vitamins, and herbal supplements.

Overdose InformationAt this time, no overdoses with this medication have been reported. It is unclear what exactly to expect from an overdose.

Storage InformationQutenza patches should be kept at room temperature and stored in their original pouch. Keep this and all medications out of the reach of children and pets. Remember that your healthcare provider must apply the patch. Do not apply the patch at home.
